A chapter of
National Assistance League®
Clothing Children
For 2009-2010, our Clothing Children program budget is
estimated at over $23,000.  This project has two
components, school uniforms and emergency clothing.

School Uniforms-  When we receive uniform requests
from school staff in Oceanside elementary schools, we
supply two school uniforms to each child.

The following number of uniforms have been given to
children each year since the project started in 2001:
2000-2001 - 250                        2007-2008 - 668
2001-2002 - 305                        2008-2009 - 688
2002-2003 - 536
2003-2004 - 507
2004-2005 - 750
2005-2006 - 659
2006-2007 - 812
That's 5,175 uniforms!
We love the thank you notes
and art that we receive from
the children.  We received
some great feedback from
the health clerks in our
annual year-end survey.  See
some of the comments below.
Emergency Clothing- We supply the health clerks' offices at the elementary schools
in Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista with clothing for emergency situations(sweat shirts,
sweat pants, underwear and socks.)
