Chapters for Children A program at Camp Pendleton
|
This year seven Assistance League chapters coordinated to distribute clothing and
school supplies to 504 children attending a Camp Pendleton school. Assistance
League North Coast was responsible for underwear and hygiene kits. Marine
families registered and were given a large plastic bag which contained a shoe
voucher and a note thanking the family for their service to our country.
A personal shopper took each family around selecting socks, underwear (briefs
from size 6 to men's XL boxers and girls size 6 to women's size 9), hygiene kit,
sweat shirt, two pairs of pants and two tops or shirts, school supplies and an age
appropriate dictionary.

The following is a note we received from a participating parent -
Hello,
I wanted to write each of the participating chapters who graciously donated and
helped us military families on August 13th at the San Onofre Community Center.
Thanks to you all, my children received plenty of much needed items! I hope
you all realize how thankful we are! Your help really does a lot for us with large
families and us who have been hit with unexpected downfalls.
Thank You So Much!!!!!
